work is still work. just getting crazy as christmas gets a little closer.

talking about christmas....i am not able to go home for christmas or new years. kinda makes me sad....cause...it's my family. my brother, mikey, will be home for the Army Reserves. I am full time @ work so I can't really go take a week off on the most important season for retail.

I've been to a couple of rock shows lately. Chasing Victory was awesome. I got to go on stage and share mic duties w/ them! :D word! Deftones were amazing. and so every other band i saw. now..the band "crew" is amazing! You should def. check them out. You'll like them!

the update everyone wants

so......everyone has been texting and calling me about how the aduction went...and i haven't been able to get to everyone....so might as well do this

so it went really awesome. I kinda woke up late. it was funny though. CJ woke me up...and it wasn't one of those "hey...wake up" it was one of those "200 pound dude jumps on me and wakes me up"
true story

so...we left late. the drive was alright....just listened to the cd the whole way there. got there roughly around 1.

We started @ 2. I was putting my stuff together. I took my double bass drum pedal, my cymbals, and an awesome snare my buddy, ben, let me borrow. We started playing the songs they told me to learn....and it went amazingly (is that a word?) well. They asked if I wanted to play another song...and I said sure. They were surprised that I knew another song. (brownie points!) Out of the whole thing...I only messed up once.

Oh....here is something funny. When the first song was over...the bass drum moved on my, cause the spikes weren't out. I had to tell them "hold up..have to move the bass drum back to place. people tell me that I have a heavy foot" bass player said "hey...that's good for me man. I love that"

then we played a song that they have been working on....and that was fun! then we sat down for about 30 minutes and we all just started asking questions.

I was the first drummer to go...and they had one to try out that day. The other guy couldn't make it..so he is trying out sometime this week or something. I think I set a good bar for the other guys to aim for. We'll see.

Now I am just waiting on a phone call. They have to make a decision before Jan....so...we'll see how it goes.

Thanks for all the support and prayers......keep doing it. Can't do it w/out you guys!!!

a must read

just wanted to let you guys know that I am auditioning for a band called "Candlefuse"

i will be driving down to alabama in the morning.

to tell you the truth.....i am highly excited and way over nervous. this is an awesome opportunity for me. These guys really tour and open up for some awesome bands. (kutless, thrid day...just to name a few)

It starts at 2. so....if you are reading this...and it is a little befor or a little after....well...i don't care what time it is....if you are reading this....pray for me! but not only for me, but for the guys making the desicions. It's me and two other drummers......

Britt is coming w/ me for some support...scott was suppose to come but it got moved to friday and he works....

i just want to see thanks for all the support and prayers...from here and back in tx.

i won't let you guys down.

winters here. i have to let my car warm up for 5 minutes.
